Peter Beardsley has a master’s degree in special education with a focus on learning disabilities, and a certificate of advanced study in educational administration with a focus on special education and school law. He worked for forty years as a special education teacher, an educational evaluator, a special education administrator, and a Committee on Special Education chairperson in the Katonah Lewisboro School District, and he taught graduate level special education courses at Manhattanville College. Mr. Beardsley joined The Windward School as a Committee on Special Education Liaison in January 2010. In this capacity, he helps both parents and teachers understand the special education process and IEP team decision-making.
