Mrs. Gay has been a classroom teacher at The Windward School since 1998. She received her M.A. in Liberal Studies from Manhattanville College.  Over the past 15 years, she has been teaching language arts, history, and study skills. Mrs. Gay is a recipient of the Windward School Sandi Galst Scholar Award and served as a middle school faculty representative on the NYSAIS (New York State Association of Independent Schools) accreditation steering committee. In addition, Mrs. Gay is a certified IMSLEC (The International Multisensory Structured Language Education Council) instructor. Prior to her career in education, Mrs. Gay served as a public relations executive for the New York Public Library, The American Library Association in Chicago and the Detroit Public Library.
