Kate Sullivan, MS Ed

Kate Sullivan started as a classroom teacher at The Windward School in 2011. After completing her Bachelor’s degree in Elementary Education from Manhattan College, she pursued a Master’s degree in Special Education with a concentration in Learning Disabilities from Hunter College. After completing the Assistant Teacher Training Program at Windward, Mrs. Sullivan went on to teach third grade at Northstar Academy in Newark, NJ, and then was the special educator on the founding team of Brooklyn Laboratory Charter School in downtown Brooklyn. Once the Manhattan campus opened in 2015, Mrs. Sullivan returned to the Windward family and started the second grade in the city where she has been the team leader of the second grade team ever since. In 2019, Mrs. Sullivan was the proud recipient of the Sandi Galst Master Reading Teacher Award given annually to honor an exemplary member of The Windward School faculty.
