Colleen McGlynn has been a classroom teacher at The Windward School since 2011. After completing her Bachelor’s degree in Secondary Education from Manhattan College, she pursued a Master’s degree in Adolescent Special Education from Long Island University. During her ten years at Windward, she has taught various content areas across multiple grades. As an IMSLEC certified teacher, she now exclusively teaches 5th grade Language Arts. In addition, Ms. McGlynn serves as the Assistant Teacher Staff Developer at the Manhattan Middle School campus supporting the next generation of Windward teachers. In 2020, Ms. McGlynn was the proud recipient of the Isabel Greenbaum Stone Master Teacher Award given annually to honor an exemplary member of The Windward School faculty.
