Why this course:
Research supports having children understand and interact with complex, informational texts across content areas. Students benefit from explicit instruction in identifying text structure, examining text features, and distinguishing salient from less relevant information as they build comprehension and new knowledge. This workshop provides educators with a robust, integrated approach to effectively use informational texts in daily lessons.
