Language plays a vital role in every aspect of a child’s time in school. Language affects the way children learn and teachers teach. Decoding and comprehension, vocabulary, and concept knowledge, thinking and reasoning, writing, and social skills are just some of the areas where the language of learning and literacy are crucial. This comprehensive course, taught by Lydia H. Soifer, PhD, will focus on these key topics, while participants will refine techniques and strategies for enhancing language learning in the classroom.
