Why this class:
Fluency is essential for the demands of higher-level math. When students learn skills and strategies for fluency and automaticity, they are able to master essential skills and build increased cognitive capacity for reasoning, problem solving, and the application of multi-step procedures.
Key Learning Objectives:
- identify the key stages of fluency development from kindergarten through fifth grade
- learn strategies for building accuracy, fluency, and automaticity of math facts and procedures
