Manhattan Middle School
Grades 5-8 for the 2021-2022 school year
The Windward School's Manhattan Middle school campus opened in 2016 and is a 60,000-square-foot facility designed to carry on the School’s tradition of providing an outstanding education to students with dyslexia and language-based learning disabilities.
The New York City campus opened in 2015 with approximately 100 students in grades three, four, five and six. The 2016-2017 school year included the addition of second and seventh grades. Eighth grade was added in the third year, and a total of 350 children in grades one through eight will be taught on the Manhattan campus by the sixth year of operation.
The academic curriculum at the Manhattan Middle School campus mirrors the Windward program currently being used at the Westchester Middle School campus. All faculty members receive the same expert instruction and training from the The Windward Institute, which has a facility in the Manhattan building as an annex to the main location in White Plains.
While we enjoy hosting visitors and showing them our building and our program, currently, we are only able to direct you to the virtual tour or encourage you to register for an info session and download an application.
We hope to host prospective families in the future when it is safe to do so.
