Faculty and Staff Awards
Each year, a number of awards are given to Windward faculty and staff members for their exemplary work and dedication to Windward's mission and values. It is because of our incredible team of 450+ faculty and staff that Windward is able to help change the lives of so many children with language-based learning disabilities.
Nominations for these awards open each spring. Awards are given out at the end of each school year. Browse awards and past recipients below!
Isabel Greenbaum Stone Master Teacher Award
The Isabel Greenbaum Stone Master Teacher Award, named after Windward's founder, is given annually to honor a faculty member.
Sandi Galst Scholar Award
Determined by the Head of School on an annual basis, the Sandi Galst Scholar award recognizes an outstanding Windward reading teacher. The faculty member recipient is provided with financial assistance through the Sandi Galst Faculty Education Fund to further their education through academic course work or other professional experiences related to The Windward School.
Heart of Windward Award
The Heart of Windward Award was created in 2020 to recognize a faculty or staff member from each division that is a champion for our core values and exemplary in their commitment to the Windward Community.
