Attending Windward was the most definitive and defining experience in my life. In my mind, there is life before Windward and life after. The hard skills and abilities I learned at Windward set the foundation I needed to function in the world. The soft skills I developed like perseverance, confidence, kindness, patience, perspective and so many others have allowed me to accomplish things beyond my wildest dreams. "Inspiration and Perspiration" Mrs. Sosland would say in my reading and writing class of four students. Today, nearly thirty years later, I recite that lesson in all company meetings.
My company, Agile Cloud Consulting, was recently named one of the 900 fastest-growing private companies in the country by Inc. Magazine. Appearing on the annual Inc. 5,000 list is a major accomplishment for any business and my partners and I are extremely proud of being ranked in the top 18%. Our team specializes in digital transformation and business innovation by developing software, databases, data warehouses, and Salesforce implementations. With over 2,000 direct competitors in the Salesforce ecosystem alone, we outranked all of them on the Inc. 5,000 list!
A little background about how we got here: I met my business partners at a New York City startup called roundCorner in 2014. Over the ensuing five years we grew into middle and senior management roles and drove a great deal of that company's accomplishments. In 2019 Salesforce, the one of the largest software companies in the world, acquired roundCorner including the software product I was General Manager over.
In June 2021 I joined several of my former-roundCorner colleagues as a partner and Vice President of Sales at Agile Cloud Consulting, a technology consulting firm. At the time we were a team of six with a couple dozen clients. Today we have a team of over 40 onshore and many more offshore, hundreds of clients, and industry wide recognition.
In addition to success in business, my wife, Emily, and I relocated to Charleston, SC in November and welcomed our first child Elizabeth "Eliza" Longley in February.
Being a Windward alum means you have a gift and a responsibility to share it with the world!
