2016-2017 Annual Fund
Transforming Lives at The Windward School
Give to the Annual Fund and transform the lives of our 795 students.
A Windward education enables children to achieve what few believed they could; it restores optimism, rebuilds confidence, and unlocks potential through academic progress and emotional growth.
The Annual Fund is a crucial fundraising initiative for The Windward School as unrestricted gifts support the School's efforts to empower our students to overcome barriers that many thought were insurmountable.
A parent captured this sentiment beautifully when she wrote, "The one thing that makes us feel so good about his future is that he has the most unbelievable educational foundation to build on. We know it will help him go anywhere he wants and hopes to in life. Again, we can't thank you enough. Windward has literally changed his life."
Your gift to the Annual Fund supports:
Financial Aid 17% of Windward's students receive financial support.
Athletics and the Arts A full range of interscholastic and intramural sports, as well as visual and performing arts, foster and celebrate our students' athletic and artistic skills and talents.
Professional Development Windward teachers receive 11,000 hours of professional development each year enhancing their expertise in our unique and proven teaching methodology.
Student/Faculty Ratio Windward's 4:1 ratio of students to faculty is exceptional even by independent school standards, and is essential to delivering Windward's rich, research-based program of instruction.
Parent Education Windward prepares parents to be their child’s strongest advocates by offering twelve seminars and two lectures a year by world-renowned experts.
