Windward Spring Benefit Raises $876,000 for Tuition Assistance and Teacher Salaries & Benefits

On Saturday, April 30, The Windward School hosted the Biennial Spring Benefit at Cipriani 42nd Street.

The event honored Former Board Chair and Alumni Parents, Devon Fredericks and Eli Zabar, and President and Director of Research at Haskins Laboratories, Dr. Ken Pugh. The evening's program was hosted by our fantastic Master of Ceremonies and Alumni Parent, Peter Hermann. The theme of the evening, Empowering the Journey, honored the stories that lead to Windward and the transformational impact Windward has on those journeys. Guests enjoyed hearing stories from our esteemed honorees, Alumni Hayven Green '20 and Reed Switzer '19, and Windward Teachers, Matt Bloom '13 and Alexandra Frelinghuysen. We thank them for sharing their stories and being a part of this special evening.

The evening also included a live and silent auction and paddle raise. Together, we raised $876,000 for tuition assistance and teacher salaries & benefits. We extend our heartfelt gratitude to everyone who supported the event. It is thanks to your generosity that more students will have access to a Windward education and we are able to maintain an excellent group of educators committed to Windward’s program.

Special thanks to our event Co-Chairs, Stephanie Mack and Anike Wariebi and our Auction Committee, Francesca Breheney, Cris Carofano, Anna Lansberg, Blaine Peck, Joanna Rego, Tara Rodriguez, and Amerika Williamson for all their efforts in making the night a success!
