Each year, The Windward School and The Windward Institute offer a four-session, in-person course on Saturday mornings for non-Windward students. Taught by members of The Windward School faculty, this course is designed for students in grades 7-10 who desire to improve their writing and research skills.
The course begins in January and is available for students in both Manhattan and Westchester. This course will teach students study skills within the framework of writing a research paper. As students work on their papers, they will learn the organizational and time management skills necessary for academic success in high school. Direct instruction will be given in critical reading, taking notes, organizing information, developing outlines, and writing a paper.
Dates for the 2022 course are January 22, January 29, February 5, and February 12, 2022.
