Edukate NYC and The Windward School Are Pleased to Announce an Exciting New Partnership

The Windward School alumna Mina Karsevar ‘22 founded Edukate NYC, inspired by her own experience as a student with dyslexia. Ms. Karsevar first conceptualized Edukate NYC, an organization that provides resources and support to students with dyslexia, as a school project. She then parlayed her passion for assisting other dyslexic students into officially launching Edukate NYC, a non-profit organization, which provides academic scholarships for financially disadvantaged students, advisory services to connect children and their families with mentors to help navigate their educational journey, community outreach to raise public awareness, and information to students and their families about resources available to them. To achieve their goals, Edukate NYC partners with academic institutions and organizations that provide programs created specifically for dyslexic students.

This fall, Edukate NYC will support an incoming student at The Windward School by granting tuition assistance and pro bono legal services. This dynamic partnership directly serves the mission of each organization in their efforts to provide students in need with the skills and strategies required to succeed in school and achieve their academic potential.
